What do I need to use Novelist?
You need a self-hosted WordPress website, ideally one running the latest version of WordPress.
Does Novelist work on WordPress.com?
No, sorry! You need a "self hosted" WordPress website. Novelist will not work on the free WordPress.com platform (or WordPress.com "Premium" packages).
Is Novelist translation ready?
Absolutely! The main Novelist plugin and all add-ons are ready to be translated. You can translate
Novelist using a tool like Poedit. All .mo and .po
files should go in the languages
folder inside the plugin.
What if I need help setting up the plugin?
Extensive documentation is available at novelistplugin.com/docs. If you still need help after reading through the instructions, you can submit a support ticket and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
What does my add-on purchase come with?
Each add-on comes with the plugin file (of course!) and 12 months of automatic updates and support. That means you will receive new versions of the plugin from inside your WordPress dashboard, and you can submit as many support tickets as you like if you need help.
Once the 12 months is up, you will have the option to renew your license key for an additional 12 months at a 40% discount.
If you choose not to renew, then you still have full access to the plugin and can continue using it. However, you will no longer receive automatic updates or support.
Can I get a refund for the add-on I purchased?
All add-on purchases come with a 30 day money back guarantee. That means you have 30 days from your date of purchase to submit a refund request and your money will be returned. For more information, see the refund policy.
